Meet Mrs. Galaxy Simcoe 2021!
Alopecia advocate Dawn Knuff will represent Simcoe, Ontario this summer in the 2021 Canada Galaxy Pageants. The finals are set to take place in Toronto on August 21st-23rd, where Dawn will compete against 19 other “Mrs.” for the title of Mrs. Galaxy Canada.
Dawn has lived with alopecia universalis for 32 years and struggled to find her self-esteem and confidence. Through the highs and lows, she has been bravely outspoken within the Alopecia community, and actively raises awareness about what beauty truly is.
“I am super excited to go the nationals representing the Alopecia community and to educate many on what Alopecia is and how any affected by it can still be beautiful with or without hair and be their true self.”
Dawn is a CANAAF Mentor, helping to provide an encouraging, safe space for Canadians with alopecia to share their experiences and find information. She also played a vital part in the early growth of CANAAF as one of the organization’s founding Board Members.
