I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I love _____ . There is also something different and special about me — I have Alopecia Areata. It is a disease that makes all my hair fall out. Don’t worry, I am not sick and you can’t “catch” it from me. Lots of people have Alopecia, but nobody here at our school does. Sometimes I wear hats or scarves or I may even wear my wig, but other times I might not! I just wanted to let you know so you wouldn’t be surprised on the first day of school. I don’t mind answering your questions, but I hope you won’t tease me or make me feel sad because I have no hair. I can’t wait to meet you and I am sure we will be great friends!
