CANAAF is a Canadian registered charity that provides education, support, and essential resources to families impacted by alopecia areata. We are currently seeking volunteers to join our team of mentors. As a CANAAF mentor, you will use your passion for supporting others to help someone navigate this unpredictable disease.
As part of our Mentorship Team, you will:
- Support to adults and/or children at a difficult time in their alopecia journey, by offering a supportive ear, guidance, and information to help them manage their alopecia
- Provide a safe and confidential environment for sharing of experiences
- Ensure assistance to mentees through one or more of the following: phone, email, face-to-face interactions, or other means of contact
- Remain up-to-date on CANAAF’s current initiatives, services, support group offerings, and educational resources and present these options to help a mentee
- Participate in CANAAF training sessions and team building activities
